Orchestrating a coast-to-coast banking machine rollout for banking giant TD Canada Trust is all in a day’s work for the logistics managers at Nadiscorp.
Making it look easy isn't always easy. Helping TD Canada Trust roll out an ATM replacement program from coast-to coast in 10 months is a case in point. TD asked Nadiscorp to take out 2,500 old ATM machines in places like Prince Rupert, Whitehorse, and Gander and replace them with new ones at the rate of 15 to 20 machines per day. TD required absolute security and error-free installation at each location, no matter how remote.
It was a big job. We began planning for the project a year before the rollout began, establishing secure machine prepping space in our warehouse, setting up tracking and reporting systems and lining up installation teams, electricians, tilers and other support.
With groundwork laid, we managed the rollout, providing TD with a single point of contact for all removal and disposal, installation, inventory tracking, scheduling and reporting. By managing the entire project centrally from our Brampton, Ontario nerve centre, we were able to resolve all project issues quickly and decisively, meeting the bank's demanding schedule and delivering the bank a smooth transition to its new technology across Canada.
