Leaving the back shop work to Nadiscorp has enabled PC maker Lenovo to establish a strong brand image in the highly competitive computer marketplace.
When Chinese computer giant Lenovo purchased IBM's Personal Computing Division in May of 2005, it needed to find a way to establish a logistics and distribution capability to match its strong R&D, manufacturing and sales operations. Lenovo decided to take on IBM's existing relationship with Nadiscorp, and expand it to provide a complete back shop fulfillment and inventory management system.
Nadiscorp helped Lenovo handle the transition from the IBM brand to its own, putting together a comprehensive logistics migration plan in less than a month. Then we designed and built an IT platform that enabled Lenovo to seamlessly integrate Canadian sales of a half million CPU's per year with Lenovo's offshore purchasing arm in Singapore. In 120 days, we implemented a logistics solution that enabled Lenovo to carry on a nearly virtual business operation in Canada. Today, every Lenovo PC sold here goes through our logistics system, with inventory maintained in, and shipped to major accounts from our warehouse. The technologically advanced, cost effective logistics solution we engineered and built for Lenovo enabled the company to get off to a flying start in Canada, and compete with the industry's best in delivery and service as well as in quality.
